Evidence-based, affirming psychotherapy for teens, adults, and relationships in NYC.
-
All of my work is trauma-informed, and I use evidence-based treatments such as Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Prolonged Exposure (PE) therapy to treat PTSD.
I am particularly interested in working with survivors of sexual trauma, childhood trauma, and traumatic invalidation.
-
We'll target anxiety through exposure therapy, mindfulness, and somatic techniques. In our sessions, we’ll explore what lies beneath anxious symptoms. You'll also learn skills to help you reduce avoidance, manage intense sensations, and feel more present in your life.
-
I use Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP)–the gold-standard and evidence-based treatment–to treat Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD).
-
I work with folks who want support navigating intense, often overwhelming, feelings. Together, we'll explore your emotions to gain insight and practice Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills to regulate emotions when needed.
-
I offer relationship therapy to partners seeking to deepen their connection, reduce conflict, process emotions, and foster healthier dynamics with each other. My approach is grounded in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and the Gottman Method.
-
As an openly queer clinician, I specialize in providing gender and sexuality affirming care to LGBTQIA+ folks and those exploring their identities. All my work is sex and sex-worker positive, kink-affirming, and affirming of nontraditional (CNM/poly) relationship structures.
I also provide pro-bono letters of support for trans and gender-non-conforming folks seeking gender-affirming procedures.

About Me:
Education and background:
I completed my graduate training at Columbia University’s School of Social Work, where I earned my Master of Social Work (MSW). At Columbia, I specialized in health, mental health, and disabilities, and participated in the Intensive Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Training Program under the guidance of Dr. Ivanoff. Before Columbia, I worked in non-profits and received my Bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Berkeley.
Originally from Bogotá, Colombia, I am a bilingual (English/Spanish), queer, first-generation immigrant. My lived experiences enable me to bring a culturally responsive and feminist perspective to my psychotherapy practice. I enjoy helping people navigate cultural identity, explore family dynamics, and heal intergenerational wounds.
My work as a therapist is grounded in compassion and my belief in the human capacity for change. I believe a vulnerable connection can foster deep healing and growth, and I feel grateful to help my clients build more meaningful and liberated lives. Outside of my practice, I enjoy reading, yoga, spending time in nature, and hanging out with my cat.
